Message from the Secretary General

Dear future delegates and well-wishers,
Welcome to the NIT Model United Nations 2017.

Model United Nations at NIT Warangal has had a long tradition of being exciting and innovating. We are no strangers to unconventional committees and controversial agendas and strive to create a platform conducive for debate. Our extraordinary Executive Board and organizing committee work around the clock to bring to you an event that is both intellectually stimulating and representative of the actual workings of the United Nations.

This year, we bring to you three distinct committees: The Third Committee of the General Assembly - The Social, Humanitarian, and Cultural Committee (SOCHUM) United Nations Security Council (UNSC) Historical Crisis Committee

With the variety of these committees, we provide for a wide range of issues to be discussed at the conference. As such, there is room for ample deliberation through a multitude of perspectives. At NITMUN, we not only showcase public speaking and rational decision-making, but in fact encourage all participants to find contemporary real-life solutions to the problems that plague the international community.

Whether it be as a delegate or as an International Press member, we hope to see you partake in the effort of enacting change through debate.

Yours Truly
Victor Dey
